Project

Modelling Design of Engineered Conduits for Nerve Repair Through Overlapping Neurotrophic and Architecture Cues

The objective of this project is to promote neurite growth through a specifically optimally designed nerve guidance conduit to supersede existing peripheral nerve repair solutions. Spatial variations in multiple chemical and physical stimuli will be used to guide and enhance axon regeneration. This will be achieved through a novel interdisciplinary approach combining mathematical simulations and experimental work.
